/UCWE/ - Muay Thai kickbooxer Sherri Thompson was found dead on Tuesday March 22, 2011 in her home in Atlanta, Georgia. No further details of her passing has been released as of this release.
Sherri Thompson was based out of Atlanta, Georgia. She had over 14 years of experience as a professional fighter as well as coach to several professional fighters. She has competed all over the world with over 50 professional fights in Muay Thai, Boxing, Kickboxing and MMA on HBO, PPV and several large venues.
Before fighting-Sherri competed in gymnastics, dance and was high school cheerleading captain. Sherri graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality. She has dedicated her life to fitness and empowering women.
She was a member of the comic book and film project "WEAPONS of Virtue", this is where Sherri was going to make her debut in the entertainment industry.
"I was extremely saddened to hear about the passing of Sherri Thompson. Sherri was a definite beacon of truth, she wasn't afraid to speak her mind and definitely wasn't afraid to reach for her dreams. She will be missed but will live on through WEAPONS of Virtue, my condolences go out to her family at this time," stated Louis Velazquez founder of WEAPONS of Virtue.
