PHOENIX, AZ /UCWE/ - SOUNDSTYLE, the event that infuses fashion with rock 'n roll, returns on Friday, November 18, at Alice Cooper's Town (101 E. Jackson St. Phoenix), to host the Closing Night Gala Event for Phoenix Fashion Week.
SOUNDSTYLE presents a 30 piece collection launching the debut of RAWKwear, a new, ready-to-wear clothing line inspired by live rock 'n roll. Along with RAWKwear's debut, 31 fashion design students from NSA (New School for the Arts and Academics, Tempe) will each be displaying at least two of their first quarter creations.
RAWKwear can best be described as "urban couture" due to it's unique blend of fabrics, highlighted by such details as exposed, raw stitching, spray painted graphics, emphasized metal hardware and contemporary cuts, creating stylish lines yet comfortable ease of wear. "For the rockstar...and the groupies that love them."
Performing at SOUNDSTYLE will be three of the hottest Phoenix-ara rock bands. STRANGE YOUNG THINGS, The BlackMoods and Vayden (formerly known as Simplfy) share the stage with runway models as they "rock the catwalk."
Alice Cooper's Town, an all-ages venue, is named after legendary rock star and owner Alice Cooper. It is an exciting entertainment complex which includes a main dining area, indoor and outdoor bar, mezzanine, 2 patios and a spacious courtyard. The venue features a state-of-the-art video and sound system including a monster video wall, large outdoor scoreboard with a big screen TV and live music stage.
